At Chichester Community Development Trust (CCDT), we believe in creating spaces and opportunities where everyone can thrive – and young people are at the very heart of that vision.
We are excited to be recruiting a Community Co-ordinator (Youth) to join our small, supportive team. This new role is all about listening to young people, connecting them with opportunities, and empowering them to have a voice in their community.
Why this role matters
Young people across Chichester bring fresh ideas, energy, and creativity. But we know they also face challenges – from mental health and wellbeing pressures, to limited access to affordable activities and safe spaces. At CCDT, we want to change that by working with young residents to co-create programmes and events that reflect their needs and aspirations.
The Community Co-ordinator (Youth) will play a vital role in making this happen. They will:
- Coordinate youth activities, programmes, and events across CCDT sites
- Support Youth Ambassadors and volunteers to take the lead in their community
- Build partnerships with schools, families, and local organisations
- Gather feedback from young people to help shape future programmes
- Support youth-led and intergenerational projects that build stronger connections across generations
About you
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about working with young people and making a positive difference. You’ll bring experience in youth work or community settings, strong communication skills, and the confidence to build relationships with young people from all walks of life. Most importantly, you’ll share our belief in the power of community and in giving young people the chance to lead.
