Chichester Community Development Trust (CCDT) is thrilled to have been shortlisted for the European Urbanism Awards.
On the 10th June, at The Journey of Place event in Leeds, the Academy of Urbanism announced the 2024 Urbanism Awards finalists in person.
Graylingwell Park is shortlisted in the 2024 Great Neighbourhood category, alongside Beaulieu in Chelmsford and Port Loop in Birmingham.
Nominations for the Urbanism Awards are submitted by members of the Academy of Urbanism network and beyond, and finalists are agreed through a programme of shortlisting sessions with panels of Academicians and Young Urbanists. Over the summer, the Academy will run an in-person assessment visit to each candidate, including Graylingwell Park, which informs an Assessment Report written up by the category’s Lead Assessor. These reports are shared with the membership assist voting in the autumn, and winners will be announced at the Urbanism Awards Ceremony in London on Wednesday 13 November.
Comments Clare de Bathe, Chichester Community Development Trust’s CEO, “We were so pleased to hear about this nomination, which came as a complete surprise, as it’s something others put us forward for, recognising the real value that the community assets bring to this community. At CCDT we make space for community, transforming our buildings into inspiration-filled spaces that bring people together and our community to life. In each space, you’ll find something different to do or discover. It’s a real community effort. Here, people’s voices, ideas and input all inform how we make positive shared experiences and social moments happen. It is fantastic to have this recognised in such prestigious awards, and we look forward to hearing the results in November.”
