This summer, The Chapel was buzzing with laughter, creativity, and plenty of family fun. Over the course of the school holidays, we welcomed an amazing 219 children to our free kids’ activities — and what a fantastic time we had together!
From crafts and Lego building to movie afternoons and creative play, there was something for everyone to enjoy. It was wonderful to see children getting stuck in, trying new things, and making new friends in such a welcoming space.
Alongside the activities at The Chapel, we were also delighted to team up with Active8, who hosted free sports sessions at the Chichester Shed. A further 29 children joined in for some active fun — from team games to sports challenges — giving them the chance to stay active, burn off energy, and enjoy even more summer adventures.
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the support of our brilliant volunteers — Zara, Scilla, Theo, and Sue. You gave your time, energy, and enthusiasm so generously, and we’re truly grateful. Each of you played a huge part in creating a summer full of joy and connection for local families.
Looking Ahead…
Now we’re turning our attention to the Halloween holidays, and plans are already taking shape. We’d love for the community to get involved! If you have:
- Ideas for spooky activities
- Donations of craft supplies
- Or some time to spare as a volunteer helper
…we’d love to hear from you. Every little bit of support helps us to continue offering free, fun-filled sessions for children and families in Chichester.
If you’d like to get involved, please contact us at community@chichestercdt.org.uk — we’d love to hear from you!
Thank you to everyone who joined us this summer — we can’t wait to see you again for more fun and creativity this autumn!
