Foot In the Door, our live music nights at the Graylingwell Chapel, provide performance opportunities for under 25s, as well as a brilliant chance for people to come along, listen and enjoy the music. We offer a space for upcoming musicians to get into the music scene and start performing, as well as taking free recordings and photos for them to promote their bands. Furthermore, these evenings give the young people of Chichester a safe space to go, hang out with friends, listen to the music and enjoy some free food!
The next evenings are on the 2nd February, the 1st of March and the 5th of April. Tickets can be accessed through the Chapel website, or on ticket source, and they are completely free for under 18s. The night includes a hot dinner and a few fabulous performances that will get you on your feet dancing, or chilled out, depending on the band!
Our Foot in the Door music nights are supported by the Foyle Foundation, an independent grant making trust that has supported CCDTs endeavours, and the Arts Council.
Sophia from Rude Eyes has said:
“The Rude Eyes and I found it hard originally as a young band under 18 to find venues to play and then we got the opportunity at Foot in the door. It gives my band such confidence after every gig and the crowd has been amazing every single time. Many of our peers may not have the money for tickets but tickets being free for our age group means there’s a chance for every one to come! For any young musicians out there looking for a place to perform (or anyone just looking for an opportunity to see live music) Foot in the door is quite honestly amazing. We would recommend for anyone to either come and watch or play.”
We would love to see some new artists so don’t hesitate to contact jack@chichestercdt.org.uk if this interests you. As Sophia mentioned, this is an incredible venue to introduce yourselves to a wider audience as young and emerging musicians.
