Famous names from Edinburgh Fringe will now be enjoying warmup gigs at Graylingwell Chapel, in Chichester, in addition to another fantastic weekend of Chichester’s own Fringe Festival entertainment this month. The TV comedy legend, Hal Crutendon, will be supported by Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist Markus Birdman on Sunday 25th June, and TV’s funniest Chaser Paul Sinha will be performing on Monday 10th July as warm up acts for their big Edinburgh shows.
Chichester’s own Fringe Festival will be running at Graylingwell Chapel from Friday 16th – Sunday 18th June and provides an incredible assortment of performances, from Friday night’s production of La Mouette – an exciting take on Chekhov’s ‘The Seagull’; to Saturday’s ‘Fat Club’ – a comedy musical; and poetry, jazz and roots to end the weekend on Sunday with much in between. A truly affordable way to discover some of the most exciting rising talent in the region, the Fringe Festival is all about trying out something new and discovering something you love.
Alongside the performances in the Chapel there will be live outdoor music on nearby Havenstoke Park from ChiUnity festival on Saturday 17th June, including additional music acts from Chichester Fringe. The afternoon will feature performances from the mighty talents of Ovation Music, showcasing some incredible youth music talent playing rock and pop classics including a number of original pieces. As the evening draws in there will be performances by the ever-popular Irrelevant Elephant, rounding off the night with a fantastic performance by 9 piece funk bank Beatroot. The music will run from midday to 10pm on a stage built just for the day.

This line up for the Chichester Fringe weekend, and the two excellent nights of warmup for the Edinburgh shows introduces something exciting to the city, and we’re so pleased to be hosting it up at Graylingwell – a site that may still be new to some people, but that is growing in popularity and opportunity all the time. We’d encourage everybody to come along and support these amazing artists as that is how we’ll be able to keep putting events like these on – join in and get involved – it’s something for everybody to get behind!”
