We’re still smiling from the Big Lunch Community Picnic we hosted recently at Havenstoke Park, where 130 people came together to share laughter, sunshine, and connection.

Children ran around and played while the vibrant sounds of steel drums, performed beautifully by Mica Alice, filled the air. Adults joined in the fun too, even practicing their juggling skills and discovering hidden talents!

A highlight for the kids – and many grown-ups too – was the 100 ice creams we were able to gift to locals, adding an extra sprinkle of joy to the afternoon.

The Big Lunch is a national project supported by the Eden Project and The Co-op, with the aim of bringing communities together across the UK. We were proud to be part of this brilliant initiative, helping create space for people to meet, connect and feel a sense of belonging.

This event was made possible thanks to the generous funding from Clarion Futures and Grange Management. Their support meant we could create a truly memorable day that celebrated community and togetherness.

We’re incredibly proud of how events like this help strengthen bonds in our neighbourhoods and build a more inclusive community spirit. However, we can’t do it alone.
