What a day! Saturday’s Community Day at Havenstoke Park was, without question, our best one yet and it’s all thanks to you.
The sun made a very welcome appearance and stayed with us all day, and hundreds of you came out to make the most of it. Whether you were browsing our stallholders, having a go at an activity, or settling in for a taster session, the whole park felt exactly as we hoped it would: full of families, friends, neighbours and a lot of community spirit.
Something for everyone across Graylingwell Park
Community Day has always been about bringing people together in the spaces we love. This year we had activities across three areas with Havenstoke Park buzzing with stalls, games and entertainment throughout the day. At the Chapel we had talks, quizzes and singalongs for all to enjoy. Our free taster sessions at The Pavilion were a hit with all who came, joining yoga, dance classes, tai chi, strength training and sound bath sessions. A huge thank you to our teachers for generously volunteering their time as well.
Thank you to our generous sponsors
We’re grateful to our sponsors, without whom we wouldn’t be able to host the event. This year’s headline sponsors, Guardian Angels, Konsileo Insurance Brokers and Chichester Construct, meant we were able to host a bigger and more varied programme than ever before. Thank you for your support.
Thank you, too, to our food trucks, who kept everyone fed and fuelled throughout the day, and to our entertainers, whose live performances gave the park such a warm, festival atmosphere from morning till evening.
And to our stallholders, our volunteers, our staff, and everyone who gave their time to plan, set up, run and pack away the day, thank you. Community Day is a genuinely team effort, and we are very grateful for your time, efforts and willingness to show up and get stuck in.
See you next year
Finally, thank you to everyone who came along! We can’t wait to see you next year, mark your calendars for Saturday 4 September!
If you were there, we’d love to see your photos, tag us on Facebook or Instagram. And if you want to stay in the loop for next year’s Community Day and everything else we get up to, join our mailing list we’d love to have you.
See you next year!
Don’t forget we’ve got a great Line Dancing event coming up at The Chapel on Friday, 18 September, 7pm. No previous experience is necessary, just an excuse to get out and have a bit of a laugh locally. We look forward to seeing you there – tickets are just £12.50.
