Marchwell Studios: Progress Update
We’re delighted to share another positive update on the continued progress of the Studios. Significant progress has been made across the site, with roofing works advancing well and preparations underway for the next major phase of construction.
Roofing Works Advancing
One of the most exciting milestones is the continued progress of roof construction across all buildings on site. The primary roof structures are now nearing completion, representing a major step forward in the overall programme.
Slate roof coverings have already been fully completed on the Makers Building, CCDT, and Incubator buildings, with work on the remaining buildings progressing steadily.
Current Progress Highlights
- Roof Structures: Approximately 80% complete
The majority of structural roof elements are now installed, with only final detailing and minor areas remaining. - Roof Coverings: Approximately 40% complete
Slate roofing works are progressing across multiple buildings and continue to move forward steadily.
What’s Coming Next
The upcoming period will see a strong focus on completing external roofing works and accelerating internal activity across the site.
Planned works include:
- Completion of slate roof coverings across all applicable buildings.
- Continued coordination to enable internal trades to commence in newly watertight areas.
This marks an exciting transition point for the project as internal spaces begin to take shape.
