We are delighted to share that the enablement package at Marchwell Studios has officially begun this week, with local firm Chichester Construct leading the works. If you pass by, expect to see builders on site as the brickwork and groundwork package gets underway – a major step forward for this exciting project.

It has been a long road to reach this milestone, and we want to thank our community for their patience and support along the way. While the funding was received in 2024, national elections, government funding decisions, and planning delays meant that we could not begin work on site until all approvals were secured at the very end of last year. Added to this, the high demand for contractors across the South East and the increase in costs created further unavoidable delays.

Despite these challenges, we have pressed ahead wherever possible – completing demolition, clearance, and enabling works earlier this summer. Now, with approvals in place and contractors on site, the transformation of Marchwell Studios is finally in motion.

This project is more than bricks and mortar. It is about creating a vibrant, sustainable space that will boost the local economy, create jobs, and strengthen community life.
