The Summer Garden Party Returns to Graylingwell Park on July 16th – BE THERE!

Book the date in your diary – so much for everybody to enjoy, and completely free to attend!  Here’s just a taster of what’s to come:

THE DOG SHOW IS BACK!!  This time we have double the fun…  There will be a fantastic dog agility ring, led by Mad About Dogs where you and your furry friend can challenge yourselves round the obstacles.  There will also be a separate dog show, hosted by The Social Dog Club, with categories for all sorts of talent:

11.30am Best Rescue 
11.45am Golden Oldie
Followed by Best in Show
Afternoon Show
3pm Waggiest Tail
3.15pm Most Awesome Eyes
3.30pm Judges Favourite
3.45pm Most Fashionable Dog – Fancy Dress Welcome!

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT:  We have an original and fantastic touring play aimed at our young people, called The Adventures of Florence and the Mermaids Tears which is a fantastic 55-minute musical dealing with plastic pollution and our natural world that will engage and inspire children of all ages.  There is a performance that you can book or just turn up to at 11.30am-12.30pm or 2-3pm

Also, listen out for the incredible voices of West Sussex Sings flash mob choir between 12.30-1pm – we can’t wait!

We also have LIVE MUSIC from the incredibly talented bands from Ovation Music playing a selection of covers and original songs from 3-5pm. All 11-18 year olds are then invited to come along and have a go at being in a band of their own from 5-6pm when they can play along with Ovation’s finest and give the drum kit a go to inspire a future of fame!  

CHILDREN’S PLAY AREA:  We have a fantastic selection of bouncy inflatables to climb all over including Gladiator Duel and an Inflatable Nerf Arena along with traditional games including ‘splat the rat’ and ‘crockery smash’ hosted by the Scouts and more fun and interactive games from the rotary to keep our young guests entertained for hours!  There is also a tractor ride for all to enjoy around the park.

HEALTH & WELLBEING ARENA – There is another fantastic chance to sample some of the amazing classes on offer at the Pavilion in FREE trial sessions running throughout the day, in the stunning fitness studio.  Why not come along to try:
10-11am: Sound Bath
11am-12pm: Breathwork
12-1pm: Power Fitness
1-2pm: Yoga Flow & Restore
2-3pm: Aqua Massage

There will also be a wider wellbeing area across the park, hosted by Everyone Active including:

  • Goodwood Golf’s giant golf target – what will you score?
  • Kickstar Sports Beat the Keeper
  • Everyone Active’s balance bike arena and garden games
  • Dance & Beyond’s free half our dance workshop for children and their families (1.45pm)
  • Free 15 minute hand massages and hand reflexology first aid sessions from Lia Jones
  • Ester Flow’s Aqua massage and massage using holistic techniques
  • Chichester District Council’s Wellbeing team’s health MOT, weight management and wellbeing advice

Local independent retailers and community groups will have MARKET STALLS where you can find out about groups that you might like to join, or purchase unique items made by local businesses.  It’s not too late if you would like a stand yourself, though best to contact us as soon as possible to secure a space.  Drop us an email to info@chichestercdt.org.ukif you or someone you know would like to take up this great sales opportunity. 

MODEL RAILWAY enthusiasts will love coming to see Chichester & District Society of Model Engineers Exhibit of some of their Creations, including:

  • Working tabletop miniature railway.
  • Working Model Steam Traction Engine 
  • Static Scale Steam Engine.
  • Static Model Aircraft.

Why not take part in our ART COMPETITION, hosted by local sculptor Helen Solly?  Young people will be encouraged to either have a go at creating some wonderful art to take home using recycled milk bottles; or create a picture or sculpture using recycled materials to be entered into a competition on the day. Winners will have their picture featured in a Chapel exhibition and will win a cash prize for their school’s art department.
