Spotlight: Meet CCDT’s Hirers

Introducing our Hirer Spotlight series, a chance to meet the amazing people and organisations bringing our spaces to life and making a difference in the Chichester community.

The Wellness Mind

At The Wellness Mind, our mission is simple: to support individuals, families, and young people to improve their mental health, resilience, and overall wellbeing through connection, movement, and practical life tools. Working alongside organisations such as The Shed and Chichester Community Development Trust allows us to bring accessible, preventative wellbeing support directly into the heart of the community.

What We Do at The Shed

At The Shed, The Wellness Mind delivers supportive sessions designed to help people reconnect with themselves, others, and their environment. The Shed provides a welcoming and informal setting where individuals can take part in wellbeing activities that nurture both mental and physical health. Sessions may include mindfulness practices, coaching conversations, movement-based activities, and opportunities for reflection and connection. These sessions create a safe space where people can talk openly, build confidence, and learn practical tools to manage stress, anxiety, and life’s everyday challenges.

The current offerings from The Wellness Mind at The Shed:

  • Youth Kitchen
  • ShedFit
  • Youth Club

Supporting Wellbeing Beyond The Shed

Alongside our work at The Shed, The Wellness Mind supports individuals and families through a range of wellbeing services and programmes delivered within the wider community of Sussex.

Our approach recognises that physical and psychological wellbeing are closely connected, and that positive change happens when people feel supported across different areas of their lives. By combining evidence-based psychological approaches with practical wellbeing strategies, we help individuals develop sustainable tools that support long-term health and resilience.

This may include one-to-one coaching, group wellbeing sessions, movement and fitness support, and nature-based experiences designed to help people reconnect with themselves and their environment.

Building Stronger Communities

Partnerships with organisations like The Shed, Young Peoples Shop, Chichester Child Psychology, The Green Door or local schools are vital in helping us reach people who may not otherwise seek support. Community spaces create opportunities for connection, shared experiences, and early intervention. School wellbeing sessions such as our “Connect & Thrive” offering enable us to support young people in an educational setting. Whether working 1:1 or in small groups, our sessions create a safe, relatable space where young people can explore emotional regulation, confidence, resilience and identity with their fellow school friends.

Positive Energy Physiotherapy

I am a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with more than ten years of clinical experience. I specialise in complex musculoskeletal cases, particularly shoulder instability and upper-limb rehabilitation.

Since qualifying in 2014, I have worked across various areas of physiotherapy in London.  In 2019, I discovered my passion for musculoskeletal conditions, with a particular focus on recurrent shoulder dislocations, non-traumatic shoulder instability, post-operative shoulder care, persistent shoulder pain, and complex upper limb conditions.

I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy to further my clinical skills and professional development. I base my practice on evidence-based care, sound clinical reasoning, and a commitment to using the latest rehabilitation research.

I believe that good physiotherapy starts with safety, trust, and working together. My structured, person-centred approach helps people understand their condition, build confidence, and reach lasting results.
