Spring is just around the corner, and what better way to brighten up your community than by volunteering with the Chichester Community Development Trust. We’ve got plenty of fantastic roles available – whether you’re looking for one-off events or regular ways to give back, there’s something for everyone.

Shifts available: 9-11AM, 11-1PM, 1-3PM, 3-5PM
Your task? Be the star of the egg collection room! Greet excited children, hand out eggs, and celebrate their clue-hunting success.
Regular/Ongoing Roles

Fridge Monitor
Once a week (midweek)
Check the Community Fridge in Graylingwell Chapel, remove spoiled food, and keep the area clean and tidy. A vital role in reducing food waste!
Bread Collection
Saturdays (after midday)
If you’re already shopping at Sainsbury’s, why not grab our bread donation too? Head to customer service to collect it and deliver it to the Community Fridge. Please note that sometimes donations may not be available so please only consider this role if you do a Sainsburys shop on this day anyway.
Water Trees
From April – once a week for 3 hours
Help keep our newly planted trees healthy! Water them in the early morning or mid-afternoon to ensure the water fully absorbs into the ground. Equipment provided.
Got a Special Skill or Interest? Become a Group Host!
Are you a passionate crafter? A photography enthusiast? Love learning languages? If you have a hobby that you’d love to share, become a CCDT group host! We’ll promote your group to help you connect with like-minded locals. Hosting can be weekly, biweekly, or monthly – whatever suits you best.
