Are you passionate about bikes, sustainability, and working with your hands? The Chichester Bike Project is offering an incredible opportunity to kickstart your career as a Bicycle Mechanic Apprentice!

What’s the role?
As a Bike Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience in a community-focused project while completing a Level 2 Bicycle Mechanic qualification. Working 30 hours a week, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our workshop buzzing and helping us deliver quality bikes and services to the Chichester community.

What will you do?

  • Assist in repairing and refurbishing donated bikes for rehoming.
  • Work alongside skilled volunteers, supporting their efforts and learning from their expertise.
  • Help maintain the workshop and manage tools and parts.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to visitors, from fellow cycling enthusiasts to complete beginners.
  • Learn key maintenance techniques, from brake adjustments to wheel truing.
  • Contribute to the project’s mission of empowering individuals and promoting cycling as a sustainable lifestyle.
