Chichester Improv & Drama Weekly Workshop
If you enjoyed drama lessons at school, give these new workshops a go! We stop flexing our imagination when we become adults – life generally being a series of problems to solve – and firing it up again feels great. Improv is an excellent way to de-stress and inhabit the moment. A bit like meditating (but more social!). Expect icebreakers, easy role play scenarios and a spring in your step at the end.
Charlie Edworthy has an Acting Diploma from Mountview Theatre School and a passion for improv. She thinks the best bit about putting on a play is the playing – which basically means the bit at the beginning of rehearsals when no-one really knows what’s going on and they’re just having a go. It’s what kids do all the time and why they’re always laughing. These workshops are dedicated to those beginning-of-rehearsal bits. There’s no performance to worry about and no ‘skill’ required. Just a willingness to join in and see what happens.
