TEDxChichester will take place this November, bringing a one-day celebration of creativity, courage and original thinking to the city.
Chichester Community Development Trust is proud to announce that we are an official partner of TEDxChichester.
As part of this partnership, CCDT has played a key role in supporting the TEDxChichester speaker journey. The Water Tower provided a distinctive and inspiring setting for our speaker auditions and will continue to host one-to-one coaching sessions in the lead-up to the event. In addition, The Chichester Shed will serve as the home for group speaker training sessions from May through to October, offering a collaborative space for speakers to develop and refine their ideas ahead of the November event.
TEDxChichester is an independently organised TEDx event licensed by TED – the global platform known for its influential talks on ideas worth spreading. Our event brings the TED experience to the heart of Chichester with thoughtful talks, powerful ideas, and a community ready to be inspired.
TEDxChichester is giving local and regional voices a platform to share ideas that resonate far beyond the city.
This year’s TEDxChichester is led by a new team, bringing fresh ideas and energy to the city’s TEDx programme. Speakers will receive professional training from performance and confidence coaches, Vanessa Cuddeford and Duncan Hardy. Vanessa has over 20 years’ broadcast experience as a producer, reporter, and news anchor with BBC, ITV, and NBC News. She has coached former TEDx speakers, keynote presenters, and speakers preparing to address the United Nations. Duncan spent two decades as a Royal Marines Officer, leading in high-pressure environments, running the Royal Navy Press Office, and teaching strategic leadership at the UK Defence Academy. He has advised the United Nations, NATO, Ministry of Defence, and Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and now delivers leadership training programmes across the UK and internationally.
