Become a Trustee at Chichester Community Development Trust

About CCDT

Chichester Community Development Trust (CCDT) is a community-led charity that owns and manages local buildings, land, and community spaces. We work with residents and partners to create vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable places that support community life, wellbeing, and opportunity.

Our mission is to ensure that community assets are protected and used in ways that benefit local people now and in the future.

We are currently recruiting a Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees.

This is a key governance role within CCDT, helping to ensure the organisation remains financially secure, transparent, and well-managed. The Treasurer plays a vital part in overseeing financial planning, reporting, and control, working closely with the Board and staff team.

We also welcome expressions of interest for other Trustee roles from individuals with relevant skills and experience.

Eligibility

To fulfil the requirements of our Board composition, we particularly welcome applications from Voluntary, Community and Faith User Group Members. However, due to the specialist nature of the Treasurer role, this appointment may also be made through co-option, in line with CCDT’s governance arrangements, to ensure the Board has the necessary financial expertise.

Why become a Trustee?

This is an opportunity to play an important role in a growing community organisation that manages and develops valued local spaces and services.

Trustees help ensure CCDT is well governed, financially sustainable, and delivering on its charitable purpose for the benefit of the local community.
