Havenstoke Park continues to thrive, thanks to the dedication of both nature and community. Recent, exciting developments have been taking place to enhance the Park’s beauty, safety, and biodiversity. From planting new trees to thoughtful initiatives, the Park remains a space for everyone to enjoy.
New Trees for a Vibrant Future
Two new trees have been planted to replace those recently removed for safety reasons. In the inner circle, a disease-resistant Horse Chestnut now stands proud, ensuring the continuation of this iconic species while supporting biodiversity. Nearby a Liquid Amber takes the place of a deceased Ash tree, promising dazzling autumn displays with its vibrant crimson and gold leaves.
These new additions not only restore the landscape but also symbolise growth, renewal, and our commitment to a greener future.
A Big Thanks to Our Park Friends Group
We owe a huge thank you to the Park Friends group, whose hard work and enthusiasm are making a difference with the Park. Over the last couple of weeks, they have tackled pruning back the shrubs around The Pavilion, giving the area a fresh, tidy look.
The group is also brimming with creativity and plans to upcycle recently cut branches to set up a bug hotel, providing a safe haven for pollinators and other beneficial insects. This initiative is another step in promoting biodiversity and sustainability at Havenstoke Park.
Additionally, the Park Friends recently completed a litter pick, ensuring the Park stays clean and welcoming for everyone. Their efforts not only maintain the Park’s beauty but also highlight the power of community care and pride in our shared spaces.
Looking Ahead
These efforts are part of Havenstoke Park’s ongoing journey to provide a safe, thriving, and enjoyable environment for all visitors. The planting of trees, pruning of shrubs, and creative projects like the bug hotel show how small actions can have a big impact on the park’s future.
Next time you visit, take a moment to admire the new trees and the freshly pruned Pavilion area, and keep an eye out for the upcoming bug hotel! Together, we’re not just maintaining the Park — we’re nurturing it to ensure it remains a cherished space for generations.
