Led by CCDT’s regular expert IT consultant, Derek Hedicker will be on hand to provide advice and encouragement.

The Cafe is FREE for all to attend, and can now be accessed in person once more.  Please bring a mask if attending as there may be occasions when you need to be less than 2m apart from Derek when he’s assisting with any questions or problems.  The rooms are wiped down before and after each session.

Angie is back!  As we ease our way out of lockdown we feel this is the right time to once again open the doors to the community hall for Community Cafe, giving you a chance to have a coffee and something delicious on us, and catch up with each other and CCDT’s wonderful Angie.  Nothing beats catching up with friends and neighbours face to face. Never more so than now.

Please drop in to the Community Hall at Roussillon Park any time from 11-12.00 on Thursdays and you will join some of the CCDT team, and hopefully other friends and neighbours of yours – it will be a chance for us all to see and hear each other.  A great chance to come together, whilst remaining safely socially distanced.

Halloween Pumpkin Carving & Craft @ Graylingwell Chapel Green

Halloween Pumpkin Carving & Craft @ Graylingwell Chapel Green

A chance for the children (and adults!) to get dressed up and celebrate Halloween, with a fun community pumpkin carving and crafts event. Each station will be limited to six people with all that they need for an hour of activities – pumpkins, the carving kit and some craft. This will be a non-spooky, family friendly event for all ages.

No need to come dressed up but there will be a prize for the best dressed outfit.

Refreshments available from the CCDT coffee cart including hot chocolate and marshmallows, and sweet treats (without the tricks!).

A chance to meet the team at CCDT and explore inside Graylingwell Chapel before it closes for development, and see the plans for it’s exciting renovations over the next 12 months.

Tickets – £5 per person for 1 hour entry. Entry only given to those with tickets to ensure social distancing can be applied. Face coverings encouraged for adults and children aged 11 and older attending.

Tickets include a £5 voucher for local professional photographer Sam, from Page & Picture, to take a Halloween family photo shoot. Usually costing £100, Sam is offering half price shoots throughout half term for £50, reduced to £45 with our voucher.

Friday feast night is now upon us every Friday night!!  Oggies Wood Fired Pizza Co will be parking his pizza van at The Lodge on Keepers Green every Friday night from 5:00-8:00pm. Steve will be cooking up the classics – Margherita (£7.50), Pepperoni (£8), Spicy Chicken (£9), Roast Ham & Mushroom (£9) and Peppers, Spinach & Mushrooms (£8). Text your order through to Steve in advance, on 07753858242 and be sure to mention which night it’s for and your preferred collection time. Steve will reply to confirm collection time and payment will be taken by contactless.  Listen out for the specials via our social media nearer the time.  For those that would like to make an evening of it you are welcome to sit on the green outside of the Lodge and enjoy the beautiful setting.

In a month when there are five Saturdays, the CCDT usually organise the café but, if you have an idea for a theme or charity for which you’d like to raise money, pop by one of the other CCDT cafés and talk to them about it.

Come along to an intense work out followed by an amazing meditation for the final 15 minutes.  The lesson includes a deeply routed postural workout, that helps your core strength and muscle toning.  The meditation at the end allows you to rest and still the mind, which we all need so much at this time.

To book your place on the class contact Hayley and find out any additional information you require. Social distancing will be observed.  Please bring your own mats.  If you have your own bands you may want to bring these for assistance as well.  Any questions don’t hesitate to call.

A fantastic way of getting motivated, meeting others and feeling connected whilst staying fit and healthy enjoying low impact exercise.  Everyone Active coaches will be leading a group on a walk around the area, at a pace that suits all.  A wonderful way to take in some fresh air and get out and about with friends or make new ones.

The walk will finish at the Pavilion where you can enjoy a delicious cup of freshly ground coffee, or well earned hot chocolate!

Fancy yourself as the next Bear Grylls? Learn some survival skills and find out how you would survive in the outdoors.

Free to attend, these evening sessions will provide an opportunity for young people aged 11-18 to spend time together outdoors, to connect with and learn more about nature and each other, lighting fires, outdoor cooking, and exploring. This programme will aim to promote a desire to protect and conserve the natural world around us.
